Being there for others is easier when you take time to re-fuel.
What is Counselling?

Counselling frequently involves talking about difficult experiences and feelings. We’ll work together to find tools that will help you to manage the stresses of daily life and rediscover who you are.
Counselling isn’t about being given advice but instead, it’s about being given the space and time for self-reflection and processing. Space and time is something that is often hard to come by for people who care for others. Yet it is essential to our own refuelling and sense of wellbeing. It’s the ultimate self-care for both you and your family.
Someone who ‘gets it’

In our Counselling sessions you can say what needs to be said and talk to someone who ‘gets it’. There is no pressure to act or be a certain way in your Counselling sessions. Simply come along as you are. I will support you to share and explore at a pace that feels safe and right for you.

Benefits of Counselling

Going at your pace

Together we will look at whatever aspects of your life that you want to focus on. For example, you might want to work on ways to manage anxiety or develop coping strategies for when you feel overwhelmed. You might want time to reflect on relationships, bereavement, looking at the direction of your life – the list goes on. Never underestimate the power of someone coming alongside you and being truly listened to.
Who I work with

Most of my work is with Mums, parents who have a child with additional needs, or people who care for someone else. I also have a special interest in supporting people who are going through the experience of having a Transplant.
